Acupuncture & Classical Chinese Medicine
Classical Chinese Medicine is rooted in ancient healing wisdom and offers a holistic approach to restoring balance within the body, mind, and spirit. This time-honored medical system views health as a dynamic state of harmony—guided by the smooth flow of Qi, Blood, and the body’s relationship to natural rhythms.
Through modalities such as acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, e-stim, dietary therapy, and essential oils, Classical Chinese Medicine supports the body’s innate capacity to heal. These therapies work together to address physical discomfort, emotional patterns, and overall vitality—encouraging deep restoration and resilience rather than simply managing symptoms.

Acupuncture supports the smooth circulation of Qi and Blood through the body’s meridian system, allowing physiological processes to function with greater efficiency and ease. From a modern perspective, acupuncture influences the nervous system and cellular communication—supporting the body’s natural pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory responses while helping regulate stress, mood, and internal balance.
Many people experience acupuncture as profoundly calming. Treatments often activate the parasympathetic nervous system, creating a state of relaxation, clarity, and grounded presence that supports healing on both physical and emotional levels.
In Classical Chinese Medicine, the body is understood as a microcosm of nature. Internal imbalance may arise when factors such as stress, lifestyle demands, emotional strain, or environmental influences disrupt the body’s natural equilibrium. Using yin-yang theory, the Five Elements, and classical diagnostic methods, acupuncture and herbal medicine gently guide the body back toward balance—reminding it of its inherent capacity for health.

Chinese herbal medicine is a foundational pillar of Classical Chinese Medicine and has been used safely and effectively for over 3,000 years. Each herb carries specific qualities—such as taste, temperature, and affinity for particular meridians and organ systems—that influence how it supports balance and healing within the body.
When thoughtfully combined, herbal formulas are designed to address both immediate concerns and the deeper patterns contributing to imbalance. Herbs may be used to support pain conditions, digestive health, hormonal and menstrual balance, fertility, sleep, immune resilience, and recovery from illness.
Chinese herbs range from food-based remedies used for gentle nourishment and preventative care to customized medicinal formulas tailored to an individual’s constitution, environment, and current needs. They may be prepared as concentrated granules, tinctures, tablets, or capsules to suit modern lifestyles.
Used alongside acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine works synergistically to support deeper, more lasting healing. All herbal prescriptions are carefully selected, professionally sourced, and tailored to your unique constitution, with ongoing attention to safety, quality, and effectiveness.

Your initial acupuncture session begins with a thorough review of your health history, followed by a focused conversation about your current concerns and intentions for care. Classical diagnostic tools—such as pulse reading, tongue observation, and gentle palpation—help identify underlying patterns and inform your individualized treatment.
Very fine, sterile needles are placed at specific acupuncture points and remain in place for approximately 25-40 minutes. Most people quickly enter a deeply relaxed state as the nervous system shifts into rest and recovery. It is common to rest, drift, or fall asleep during treatment.
This quiet, restorative time allows the body, mind, and spirit to recalibrate—often leaving you feeling grounded, refreshed, and more at ease.
